My sweet friend, Katrina (Fifty Two Hundred Photo), speaks my heart language, so it was no surprise that the family film she, and her husband Mark, created for us…was everything I needed.

My family has been captured by so many talented photographers, but never on video. I wanted my kids to remember the way I laughed, loved on them, and looked at them…long after I’m gone. I wanted Dave to remember me this “young” and for two grey-haired empty-nesters to smile as they watched their memories in motion one day.

Katrina and Mark, you gave us the ultimate gift…time. I can’t buy more time, but I can preserve the time I’m given. Thank you for seeing us as art. Thank you for preserving the moments and memories my heart craves today and needs tomorrow. I will cherish this film forever.

(Film note: Mark composed and recorded the score in the second part of our film! He even chose instruments with meaning significant to our family and modeled the sound after piano music that inspires my work. I have no words for this epic labor of love…only a heart of gratitude.)
