Every summer my family meets up to weigh down memories together and every summer I quietly wonder how many more carefree summers we have left to enjoy together…ALL together. It’s not said to be tragic or depressing…it’s just life. We have this one life together and as the years march on, I guess I’m more and more eager to document my mom’s ringing laughter, my dad’s strong hands tying a fishing lure, my brother’s ridiculous humor, my sister-in-love’s gentle spirit and all the family antics that make us…us.
Last summer we met up in the Adirondacks and, just in time to surprise my mom last week, I finished editing our video of that week together. A year later and it feels like these languid days on the lake were just yesterday.
Eight minutes is longer than most of you will watch but too short to document all the feels.
