Throwback to summer fun with this sweet family who got to experience their very first family film. The kids’ laughter, the birthday girl’s dancing eyes, the smell of dad’s amazing chicken marinade, and mom’s radiant smile still live in my heart and memory.

When I finally get around to posting a film, it’s been months since I watched it. The beauty of video is that it snaps the viewer right back to a moment in time with all the fullness a memory deserves. I’m not just looking at a snapshot and relying on my memory to fill in the details; I’m watching the moment develop and play out.

It’s a true time machine.

The experience of watching a family film is so immersive that other memories are quick to follow…even sensory ones. When you watch it a second and third time, you begin to see things you missed. Years later, it’s doubled in value because you haven’t heard your kids talk like that…move like that…giggle quite like that…in so long.
